However, Oppo has faced some controversies recently, including a patent lawsuit from Nokia in Germany and a major tax evasion fine in India in 2022. Looking forward, Oppo aims to continue increasing its market share globally, especially in developing markets, by offering both affordable and premium smartphones. Its partnership with OnePlus gives it a strong foothold in the US as well.
